Unlike regular campaigns, an automation is a targeted email or series of emails that you can set and forget. From welcoming new subscribers to following up with a customer after a purchase to rewarding your customers with a special incentive, automation helps you streamline your communications with customers so you have more time to focus on creating content and increasing ROI. As I said before, Amazon does this well because they send relevant offers based on my buying habits. Those that send blind offers are far more likely to lose permission to keep doing so.

I’d suggest starting with bi-weekly newsletter campaigns, in combination with other email campaigns where you send out emails based on special occasions, which could include Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, July 4th, or Valentine’s Day. These campaigns usually work better than sending generic promotional emails periodically. People tend to spend their money at holidays, so use those days wisely, and plan your campaign in advance. Email marketing is still a great way to conduct marketing, whether you are a small business or a big corporation. However, almost everybody uses this strategy and as a consequence, people’s mail boxes are overcrowded with promotional email. In order to make your emails more attractive and catchy, you need to make sure you know exactly what to expect from such a campaign and how to create the content your audience wants.

Social media may be the young whippersnapper nipping at email’s heels, but the content king of the inbox still holds sway in social influence, according to a study by SocialTwist. Over an 18-month period, SocialTwist monitored 119 referral campaigns from leading brands and companies. The results showed a significant advantage to email’s ability to convert new customers compared to Facebook and Twitter.

Affiliate should be enjoyable and you have the flexibility to work anytime and anywhere. A large percentage of companies earn money from their sites as a hobby as well as full time jobs, many have earned second additional revenue by doing so. Go to the right way at this point; thus, you can learn a lot about the internet, your domain and consumer behavior. By joining a community and working with a guide; besides making money, you also have a chance to meet new people along the way.

Set an expectation for frequency – The key with frequency is to strike a happy medium. With email frequency, this is more about setting expectations, rather than a particular interval. For example, if you offer a free six-day mini-course then obviously your subscribers will be expecting an email a day for the next six days. Beyond that, a weekly email might be the right frequency, particularly if your emails are short, relevant, and to the point. The other extreme is not emailing them for weeks, then surprising them (not in a good way) with something out of the blue. By that time, there’s every chance they will have forgotten they subscribed in the first place!
Sending out email newsletters can be complicated if you do it yourself. Use one of the many email newsletter services that handle the process for you, from subscriber list management to formatting your message. Most of the services have easy-to-use templates you can customize with your company logo and colors, and online editing programs that walk you through the process. You pick a theme, add your text and links, and the service handles the rest, including tracking statistics such as how many people click on links in your newsletter. Keep your email design simple and clean.

Seriously, the most valuable advice given to me as an affiliate marketer – and that is being moved forward to you today – is to respect your audience at all times. They are making you part of their lives and are prepared to put money into your pocket. In exchange, it is your duty to give them meaningful content that addresses their wants and needs and follow up with affiliate offers that meet these objectives. Do this and you'll have all the success as an affiliate marketer you've ever dreamed of.
Beyond that, avoid using all caps, too many exclamation marks, and hyperbolic phrases ("ACT NOW BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT!!!!"). Poorly formatted HTML in your emails can also hurt how they’re handled. Every spam filter is different, so an email might pass through one filter but get flagged by another. Why should your email campaign recipients be interested in opening your emails?  They’ll be interested if you offer something that they value.  Perhaps you can offer a discount on a product or service.  Or maybe you want to offer informative content to encourage website visits.  Whatever you offer, it needs to be relevant and valuable to your target audience
As you consider building your own email list and sending periodic emails to engage potential clients, think about this: How do you feel about the emails you get that you do enjoy? Can you be that for someone else? Of course, you can! I stay subscribed to a handful of email lists that give me consistent value—personally and in business. Many are from people who inspire me from what they do. These are people I like being reminded of and thinking about once in a while for inspiration and motivation.
