4. Ability to customize your links. When you join a partner program, you receive your custom affiliate link. But what happens if you want to create deep links, in order to direct the referral to a specific landing page? Moosend has taken care of that for you; when you sign up for Moosend’s email marketing affiliate program, you get your unique promotional link, which then can be customized by adding “?url=” at the end, plus the URL you want to redirect your leads to. Again, it’s perfectly fine if you don’t do this; Moosend’s default affiliate link will still take the referred user to the homepage.
Do you know how your audience prefers to receive communication and when they are most likely to engage? (Hint: see tip M below which covers metrics and how to measure and learn more about your audience.) Understanding the ins and outs of audience behavior allows you to effectively personalize your email messages with language, tone, and delivery that truly speaks to them.

Make it easy to subscribe. Post a signup form on your homepage, blog, Facebook page, and wherever else your customers and fans are already active. You might want to collect names and birthdays (for a special offer or gift) or invite readers to join groups, but don't go crazy with the required fields. Encouraging people to purchase proudcts from you as an affiliate you is a valuable skill that is not only financially rewarding but also personally fulfilling. Even if you sell your own products or services, affiliate marketing is a great income stream you can add to your business to add value to your customers and make extra money while doing it. In almost any profit-driven company today, the best-compensated people are those who deliver sales, whether they work the front lines (e.g. real estate agents, car salespeople) or the boardrooms and negotiating tables of Fortune 500 companies.
There are plenty of ways to attract customers to sign up on your email list. It is not difficult and not at all time-consuming. One great way is to build in a popup window to notify your customers to sign up to receive latest updates and promotion of your website. Another method is to entice their participation by dangling a contest or lucky draws. Unique content and reader appeal will generally result in higher search engine ratings too, which in turn should drive more traffic and conversions.

A simple text message takes up very little of your readers' time and can offer something of value such as the announcement of a sale or a coupon. If you maintain a company blog, offer the first paragraph of new posts in a newsletter with a link to the website. Include promotions, sales and non-selling information, such as short bios of company staff or polls about an aspect of your industry.

In 2018 a new law known as the GDPR will come into play in Europe that will affect anyone that sells to EU citizens. It’s focus is on ensuring customers have more control over their personal data. We’re not 100% sure on the impact this will have over email marketing, but it’s looking like double opt-in will be helpful. If you haven’t researched into this yet, it’s well worth doing so.

Focus on the reader first. You should always write your emails to address the needs of your subscribers, not yours. Offer ways to solve their problems, don’t simply talk about your products and how great they are. (This is a part that so many companies get wrong.) Ask yourself, what are the biggest pain points/struggles for my subscribers? How can I solve their current problem in this email?
