Make it shareable. Send content that people want to share, and make it easy for them to do it. Sure, subscribers can forward your campaign to friends, but that's a lot to ask. Include a public link to the web version of your campaign so people can read it outside of their email programs, and consider adding Twitter and Facebook links to your newsletter, so readers can share your content where they're already active. When their friends start sharing and subscribing, you'll know it's working.
These can be your current customers, event attendees or even that random stack of business cards you’ve collected over the years. Once you have permission (because, yes, you ALWAYS ask permission!), you’ll have a nice list of people who are already familiar with you and are just waiting to be cultivated through your awesome email marketing campaigns!
Don’t set yourself up for failure on your next email campaign—create a checklist of all the important steps you need to consider before pressing “send.” These might include checking your image to text ratio, ensuring you have a text version to support your HTML email, having your copy proofread, and testing to see how your email renders on various clients and browsers.
Honestly, when I say “be real” – I mean it. Don’t be afraid to talk about your failures with people (on your list). They want to know that you weren’t BORN rich, or one of those naturally fit people that was just made to be a fitness model. They want to hear your story, they want to hear your struggles, they went to know that you were in the SAME PLACE AS THEY ARE RIGHT NOW, DAMMIT!

It’s tempting to feel like you’re done after the email you crafted is delivered to your email list, but it’s really just the beginning. Buying email lists can not only negatively impact the standing of your domain and the deliverability of your emails, but you’ll also find out that these are not quality lists. Email marketing is most effective when you deliver a relevant, helpful message to people who have at least some familiarity with your brand and have asked to receive that information. When you buy lists, the people you email likely don’t have any familiarity with your brand and have not asked for you to communicate with them. Additionally, because you likely know very little about them, it’s difficult to ensure you’re sending relevant communications.
Finding products and services to promote as an affiliate is an incredibly straightforward process. There are several large advertising networks that focus exclusively on creating affiliate relationships between advertisers and publishers. These affiliate networks will handle any necessary paperwork, provide banners and other creative to use on your website, serve as an intermediary in the relationship and make sure that you get paid for your efforts.
For instance, I like getting the New York Times cooking recipes. My partner Steve enjoys getting updates on the latest shows added to Netflix. I would never want an email from Netflix telling me anything, instant unsubscribe! Does this mean Netflix doesn’t benefit from its email marketing? Of course not. I am not someone who enjoys their emails so their email content isn’t really for me. It also doesn't affect my use or enjoyment of their service so let’s dispel the fear that if someone doesn’t enjoy your email content they will not use your service. So whether you prefer Seth Godin’s marketing emails or Marie Forleo’s weekly videos, the point is that marketing emails are all about what you have to offer that your ideal customers want and need. Not what everyone wants.

I’m not happy at all with MailChimp. Has anyone found the same problems with MailChimp as I have? I find that many of my list members unsubscribe from my list daily. I know these people ands contact them and they say they have not unsubscribed. twice I even found my own email taken off the list. When I look into the MailChimp list Spam is the reason for the person’s unsubscription. Over the years I’ve been on MailChimp I’ve contacted support and I’ve done everything I can but nothing has changed. I’m now looking to move to another company.
There are plenty of ways to attract customers to sign up on your email list. It is not difficult and not at all time-consuming. One great way is to build in a popup window to notify your customers to sign up to receive latest updates and promotion of your website. Another method is to entice their participation by dangling a contest or lucky draws. The colors are bright, and it's not too hard to scroll and click -- notice the CTAs are large enough for me to hit with my thumbs. Also, the mobile email actually has features that make sense for recipients who are on their mobile device. Check out the CTA at the bottom of the email, for example: The "Open Stitcher Radio" button prompts the app to open on your phone.
