MailGun is a transactional email API integration – a cloud based service to send, receive and track emails sent through applications and websites. You can scale quickly. You can A/B test data. You can use tracking and analytics feature to manage emails.

Monetize your tickets. Customer complaints sent to your help desk can be mined as additional contacts to your mailing list. As long as the issue is resolved and the customer is satisfied, including her in an email campaign may generate additional sales. This process is common in a CRM, but if you lack that system, email marketing software is a good option.
Next up is building an email newsletter. The best services offer several ways to do this; you can import your own HTML, start from scratch, or use a pre-designed template. Most of these services have drag-and-drop UIs that let you choose exactly the elements you want to include, as well as image libraries in which you can store assets such as your logo or company photos. Tools that let you test your emails for spam are also essential since there are some seemingly innocuous terms that may send up red flags and drop all of your hard work into your subscribers' junk folders or, worse, get your emails banned before they ever reach their recipients.
SendInBlue 9,000 emails per month (daily limit of 300) for an unlimited number of subscribers. You can have a maximum of 2,000 subscribers in your automated campaigns at any time. Touchstone is a great tool to test your subject lines virtually in real time. It not only enables you to create a virtual simulation of your subscriber base and uses a proprietary algorithm to predict likely open, click and bounce rates for the subject line you want to use, but also allows comparing the analysis against 21 billion emails as well as trends in your industry or sector.
Social Media Managers know the pain of posting that perfect social media post only to have a follower find a typo a minute later and call you out. For marketers, using a social media tool to schedule all of your posts (so you catch those typos beforehand) is a must. But it also helps to get the right analytics from your social posts, especially on channels where it can be hard to get that information.
Analytics & reports. As with most business solutions, analytics and reports in email marketing software lend to your campaigns insights on its effectiveness. You get to measure key metrics like open rates, CTRs, readers’ length of stay on your email, trending content and demographics. Many email marketing apps also feature real-time campaign tracker that streams metrics as they occur, which helps you quickly shift the campaign if the results prove dismal.

These are just a few of the many companies out there that offer solid email marketing software so that you can focus more time on spreading your mission and less on online engagement. Spam filters. Email clients have spam filters in place. If you’re not careful your campaign may end up unable to reach its intended audience. Gmail is especially a difficult case; even opt-in subscription can end up in its promotions tab, away from the main inbox. Good email marketing software alerts you for potential spam triggers like: generic subject line; common exaggerated sales promises; complex layout and design; and too much URL links.
Very well written article! Thanks for sharing!!! Just that I would add another tool to this list- intellyMail.com. It is really one of the best email marketing tools that I have come across. intellyMail eliminates the need of manually sending bulk emails through an automated process, thus saving you time and money, besides helping you generate leads
I’ve always been a mailchimp user myself, and I have to say I really like their UI but I’m always open to new options. I’ve dabbled in a couple of the other email marketing providers like Pure360 – but find them so clunky and annoying to use (despite them looking really pretty and having great templates) that I always end up going back to good old mailchimp. I haven’t used GetResponse yet, I’ll give their free trial a shot :)

It has free, responsive email templates that can be viewed on any device. You can also build contact lists, extract insights from reporting, and save time by automating sending of emails. It’s a simple tool that delivers its features well.

For home security company Blink, success began with a 2014 Kickstarter campaign. More than 7,000 backers provided them with funding, and these backers became an engaged audience. After that, Blink used Mailchimp's powerful testing and reporting tools in combination with surveys to determine what these customers liked best. They learned that design matters just as much as content and that it's as valuable to send relationship-building emails as it is to send emails that convert. In this article, Blink tells us how optimizing their email automations has helped them sell more than 400,000 of their security products.
Your campaign can be completed once you select your recipients and other campaign-specific details. In the Content section, you’ll find an incredibly useful WYSIWYG editor used for HTML content. Add images, drag and drop items, format text and copy/paste any text you want in your email. Want this layout and format to be used by default for every campaign? Save to Library and you’re covered.

One of the best free email marketing plans I've found. Sendinblue offers 9,000 free emails per month — which include access to their email template designer, unlimited contacts, and mobile-friendly designs. They also have advanced marketing solutions like automated workflow, triggered campaigns, transactional stats, retargeting functions, send time optimization (which sends your email at the best time of day) and they are fully GDPR compliant. However, due to the nature of this plan, there are daily sending limits and you don't have access to custom branding.
SendinBlue is a platform that lets you easily manage transactional emails and marketing campaigns. It offers several options for transactional and autoresponder emails as well as responsive design templates. Design skills are not a requirement since it has a template gallery and drag-and-drop designer that lets you create attractive, mobile-friendly emails. It consists of features like email sending, contact management, campaign creation, and campaign tracking.
There are somewhere in the market systems that are free, have the functions you need and you can use them for as long as you want but do you have time to search for those? Probably not. Majority of the tools are either free but severely limited (so to get the features you need you have to buy the tool), it’s free but for a short period of time and then the software becomes locked permanently (along with your data) unless you pay for the full version or there are any other kinds of restrictions.
Hey! Thanks for sharing this informative article. I too use email marketing for my business and currently relying on MailGet Bolt ( https://www.formget.com/mailget-bolt/ ). Everything is going pretty well but after reading this list I am having second thoughts about it. Should I continue with it or look for another email marketing service provider?

According to a 2017 study, 55% of emails are now opened on mobile devices, which means providing a marketing experience that works on both desktop and mobile platforms is more essential than ever. Both of our top picks include the ability to automatically convert your desktop designs into mobile-friendly formats, and most other major companies do as well — Whichever service you choose, make sure it provides this function so that your emails will read the way you want them to, no matter what platform they’re being read from.
Even when your site is chock-full of good stuff, sometimes your customers get distracted—by a cat video or a celebrity gossip blog, perhaps—and they leave your site before buying what they really wanted. Topo Designs, a Colorado-based outdoor lifestyle goods company, knew that creating the right abandoned cart campaign could easily solve this problem, so they tested variables within Mailchimp's abandoned cart automation to figure out what brings customers back. The result? An abandoned cart email that consistently receives a 20% click rate. In this article, Topo Designs explains why it's important to remind interested shoppers what you've got.
I recently had my MailChimp account suspended. One of my sites is in the ‘make money online’ space. It’s a completely legitimate website, but apparently if your emails contain keywords they don’t like, they will suspend you. I would not recommend using them. Contacting support I just get form responses that are completely unhelpful. There’s no phone support- just account termination. Really bad experience. Luckily, this is a very new site- but imagine if you have thousands of emails and they just shut you down without ANY recourse.
