Editorial Disclosure: Inc. writes about products and services in this and other articles. These articles are editorially independent - that means editors and reporters research and write on these products free of any influence of any marketing or sales departments. In other words, no one is telling our reporters or editors what to write or to include any particular positive or negative information about these products or services in the article. The article's content is entirely at the discretion of the reporter and editor. You will notice, however, that sometimes we include links to these products and services in the articles. What we liked: MailerLite’s ease of use makes it an ideal tool for getting started with autoresponders – even beginners can master setting up emails and campaigns fairly quickly. And it’s great that you can use all the features completely free of charge (as long as you have fewer than 1,000 subscribers). If you do need to upgrade, it’s one of the most competitively priced providers on the market – so it’s a great way to set up cheap autoresponders.
MailerLite is an email marketing solution built for bloggers and small businesses. Beginners will find it easy to create and send out their first email as there are a lot of tutorials, hints, and notes provided in each step. It has a drag-and-drop editor, custom HTML editor, Rich Text editor, built-in photo editing feature, newsletter design templates, and file manager, among others.

These are just a few of the many companies out there that offer solid email marketing software so that you can focus more time on spreading your mission and less on online engagement. If you would like to share your own personal experiences with email marketing, please comment below or feel free to reach out to us at Elevation. We’d love to hear from you!
A self-described all-in-one marketing platform, ActiveCampaign’s main goal is to help you send fewer emails with better results. To that end, the American provider clearly focuses on automations. None of the other tools we’ve tested come near them in that field. With ActiveCampaign, you can automate everything based on your website visitors’ behavior with complex if/when/then logic. The CRM also makes it easy to manage sales directly from the backend.
The free account also has a low send limit and contact limit. It’s great if you just want to send a few newsletters to a few hundred contacts though. Just bear in mind that Mailchimp can become (relatively) expensive when you need to upgrade. Mailchimp also offer two payment types – pay as you go or a monthly subscription. While expensive, the pay as you go plan is good if you’re sending emails sporadically.
WYSIWYG editor. Email marketing software has a user-friendly email builder that lets you see how your email appears before launching. The builder comes with tools like drag-and-drop functionality, built-in templates, responsive format and photo editing. Likewise, a customized layout can be split-tested and the best-performing design reused and copied for future campaigns.
Then, you can draft emails in advance to make sure they look great, and then send them when you're ready. That's easy with a draft section on Sendicate's dashboard that shows your emails complete with their header photo and subject. You can segment your audience with simple search filters, and schedule emails to be sent at the time and date of your choice. And with simple, typography focused templates, you can be sure your emails will always look great.

If you want the simplest way to send an email newsletter, and don't have more than 5,000 subscribers, you can't get any simpler than Tinyletter. An insanely simple email newsletter app from the MailChimp team, Tinyletter has no email templates, no integrations with other apps, and almost no features—it's the only app on this list that doesn't include Zapier integrations. All it lets you do is make a landing page for people to signup, then write text-focused emails and send them to your subscribers in a click.
What's more, you can setup multiple brands inside your Sendy account. That lets you send emails to all the list you need for multiple products or companies. You can even white label Sendy, give your clients access, and host your own email sending service for each of them. Sendy might not just save you money on sending emails; it might make you money, too.
Litmus is an email marketing tool that is primarily focused on testing and tracking your emails. This software offers a web-based drag-and-drop editor so marketers can easily build their own emails. They also have a large selection of customisable templates to choose from. Once emails have been built, previewed (in mobile/desktop) and sent out to your contact list(s), you can make use of their detailed engagement summary reports (including open rate, deletions, how long email was open, geolocation and more).
Loved reading this! Which of these would you recommend so that I could set myself reminders on certain clients so that I can follow up with them in the future? I feel like I am doing a lot of extra steps that I might not have to do if I was using an actual marketing software. I am in the very beginning stages of getting my business out there and I would like to follow up with potential clients down the road with an email… is this a possibility or should I just keep using my excel spreadsheet!?
