Benchmark shines in its intuitive email designer that heavily functions using with a drag-and-drop editor. This makes it a good platform for beginners with an eye for design to create responsive emails. You can even edit photos right on its editor and add effects, stickers, and texts. Creating auto-responses, surveys, and polls is also streamlined which you can preview on a mobile or desktop mode.
You can shoot videos in BombBomb's app, upload pre-created videos, or pull in YouTube videos, then send them out as email newsletters with text and other details you want. Then, your contacts can reply with video messages of their own, recording a new video email online and sending it back to you through BombBomb. It sounds crazy, but might be the way to break up the monotony of text emails and get your contacts' attention.
This article is informative, but it does not offer distinguishing features between the services covered (other than mailchimp is free). You seemed to go to great lengths to say good things about each – although I’m sure each services has positive aspects. I would have benefited much more from a rating of some sort of the various features of each service, or at least the pros & cons of each.
Some free autoresponders will have ads on them, that's why they are free. And ads in your emails is bad for your business. I use Magic Response. It's free until you reach your 100th subscriber, then $19 a month for up to 5000 subscribers. Still cheaper than Aweber and GetResponse. Plus they also have a great Newsletter that gives you tips on Email Marketing. Need more info contact me.

What Users Say: Mautic is better defined as a marketing automation software but has many email marketing features that will satisfy the needs of marketers. With only 14 reviews, it's the least-used tool on this list. The users that have shared their experiences have rated Mautic above average on its online behavior tracking and have an overall 92 percent positive sentiment when posed with the question of “s the product going in the right direction?”. As an open-source tool, companies can customize and build on top of its source code to tailor the product to their specific needs.

Note. SendinBlue‘s pricing is an estimate. SendinBlue is the only company on this list that charges “per email sent” and not depending on the size of your list. So in the table above, I assumed you’re going to be sending 1.5 emails per week to each of your subscribers (a reasonable estimate, I think, for businesses getting started with email marketing).
You can then build your lists with advanced subscriber forms that include up to 25 fields—with smart fields that can split first and last names automatically—and build landing pages with the same tools. You can have the world’s savviest marketing plan in place and customers still don’t always click on something the first time they see it. Whether they encounter your ads on Facebook, Instagram, or another channel, they may not make a purchase until they've seen what you've got through multiple avenues. That's where Google remarketing ads come into play. Google remarketing ads help you reach people who have expressed interest in your products—wherever they go online—and bring them back to your store when they’re ready to buy. Using these best practices and Mailchimp's powerful reporting tools, you can run retargeting ads that pay off.

Email Elastic is a platform that specializes in bulk email marketing for any business size. While others may prefer an easy-to-use service with no coding required, you may appreciate Elastic Email’s HTTP API and SMTP API services that give you more freedom to customize and automate your email campaigns. Content blocks are literally the building blocks of your emails, allowing you to add content to them. This content includes things like text, images, images + text, columns, buttons, dividing lines and social media icons. Once you've inserted a content block into an email, you can move it up and down, change the background color, move items within it from side to side, copy it, or delete it.
Most companies offer tutorials and support for their services. Using the trial version of each program, we evaluated layouts and looked for things that would make the platform user-friendly. For example, are the icons easily identifiable? Is it apparent where to go to begin to build a survey and distribute surveys to users? How easy is it to create or change a survey? We found that the best survey builders allow you to quickly edit questions and rearrange the order of your survey without many additional steps.
Most importantly, if you hobnob with any other free Autoresponder or paid services and later on if you want a switch to Aweber, it can get difficult to import your list to Aweber unless with double-op-in again! Your list needs to be approved by their import specialists.  So if you are new and starting fresh -- start with Aweber. It is strongly suggested that you watch these Video Tutorials on Aweber before you decide on anything else.

Whether you already have a list of subscribers or are starting from scratch, email marketing services can help. All of the services we cover let you add contacts manually using copy and paste or by uploading CSV or Microsoft Excel files. Some integrate with third-party software enabling you to import Gmail and other webmail contacts, Salesforce.com and other customer relationship management (CRM) data, or other software where you might have contacts stored. Depending on the size and location of your list, third-party integration could be key. Verify whether you can export contacts as well (and how easy it is to do so) should you leave the service. Managing users who unsubscribe should also be easy so you're not accidentally contacting anyone who has opted out of your newsletters.

Its campaign builder lets you easily craft emails that suit your message—whether it’s for a product launch or news announcement, for a start. Some of its features include email templates, in-suite apps, integration to e-commerce platforms, and targeted analytics, among others. You can also target your customers based on previous sales, preferences, and behavior.

AWeber is another popular email marketing tool with a number of great features. Using a drag and drop editor, users can easily create automated emails and make use of their high-quality autoresponder capabilities. Users can also create subscription forms and place them on the website, blog or Facebook page. Within this tool, you can pull up charts showing how many contacts opened emails or clicked on links within your message.

Email newsletters so often restate things you've already written on your blog. Curated instead lets you gather everything you want to write about, then organize them into categories and turn them into emails in minutes. You'll save links then pull them out of the Collected Items list into your email body, adding a summary along with a category. You can also add text sections with categories as well.
First of all, BuzzFeed has awesome subject lines and preview text. They are always short and punchy -- which fits in perfectly with the rest of BuzzFeed's content. I especially love how the preview text will accompany the subject line. For example, if the subject line is a question, the preview text is the answer. Or if the subject line is a command (like the one below), the preview text seems like the next logical thought right after it:
Levi is the Manager of Community and SEO who came to G2 Crowd in 2015 after graduating from Indiana University's Telecommunication's Department. Aside from rooting on his Hoosiers, you can find Levi at an IndyCar race, re-watching King of the Hill reruns, spending hours on paranormal websites and helping his dog Frodo on his quest to destroy the ring.

You get access to their full range of tools, including powerful autoresponders which automate your email campaigns and help you stay in touch with your subscribers. AWeber Communications’ reporting tool enables you to view the success of your emails in terms of how many have been opened and clicked through.
Promote your social media channels. Some email marketing solutions can connect to your social media pages, allowing for cross-channel promotions. For example, you can incentivize an email message with deals if the recipient likes your Facebook page or post your hashtag. If you have a robust mailing list, this is one way to migrate subscribers to your social channels.

While open rates are an important metric to monitor (how else will subscribers read the message you’ve so painstakingly composed?), click-through rates provide a much better reference point for email success. This data allows you to see the extent of your subscribers’ engagement beyond whether or not they opened your email, since we’re all familiar with opening emails just for the sake of marking them as ‘read.’

Not only was this initial email great, but his response to my answers was even better: Within a few days of responding to the questionnaire, I received a long and detailed personal email from Matt thanking me for filling out the questionnaire and offering a ton of helpful advice and links to resources specifically catered to my answers. I was very impressed by his business acumen, communication skills, and obvious dedication to his readers.
What Users Say: From Benchmark Email reviews, users enjoy Benchmark Email’s preview mode as well as its email building and personalization. However, the email tool lags in many feature ratings, such as email deliverability and email list management. Benchmark Email users rated the tool’s worst feature as high-volume sending at 77 percent (average, 89 percent), but free users can avoid this feature as the marketers looking for a no-cost option mostly will not be sending a large number of emails.
Paid Pricing: Benchmark Email has a multi-leveled pricing plan that be a bit confusing. For medium lists, users can send unlimited emails to 600-1,500 subscribers at $13.99-$27.99 per month. For larger lists, companies can send between 1.7 million and 2.45 million emails to 125,000-175,000 subscribers at $659.99-$846.99 per month. There are also multiple other tiers for packages into between these subscriber counts and from subscriber lists that are much larger. While confusing, Benchmark Email has a user-friendly pricing page that can nail down exactly how much their platform would be for any business needs here.
Yes. Subject lines play an important part in getting your customers to open your emails. Rubin Manzoor, Content Marketing Manager at Contact Monkey, says “emails need to have an interesting subject line to grab readers’ attention.” Sometimes it takes more than one try to get it right — it’s good to test a few different options. According to Hubspot, “47% of marketers say they test different email subject lines to optimize their emails' performance.”
It lands on the first spot of this list as it has offerings that are only available on other product’s paid versions. For instance, you can schedule and queue the delivery of emails to a prospect for a personalized sequence. Reduce the time it takes to send repetitive emails by saving templates and tracking its performance to know which ones are effective or not. It also integrates with Gmail, G Suite, and Outlook versions.

And fairly-priced: https://www.mailerlite.com/pricing.
Well, charity: water took an alternate route. Once someone donates to a charity: water project, her money takes a long journey. Most charities don't tell you about that journey at all -- charity: water uses automated emails to show donors how their money is making an impact over time. With the project timeline and accompanying table, you don't even really need to read the email -- you know immediately where you are in the whole process so you can move onto other things in your inbox.
Creating your own design from FreshMail's templates is easy, with rich content blocks that include text-and-image layouts to add multiple columns and rich details. Then add your content and send it to your contacts with all the standard email sending features you'd expect from any other app. And if you need to send emails to large lists occasionally, you don't even need a large monthly plan—instead, you can pay for just the emails you need to send.
Want to quickly personalize your email templates? Mailerlite makes that easy, with color-focused themes with content blocks you can move around. Its pre-made templates aren't rigid, HTML templates, but instead include the same header, signature, background colors, and content blocks as any other them. That makes them easy to make your own. You can then use those same tools to build landing pages and popups to gather subscribers for your lists.

Marketo. One of the popular marketing automation solutions, Marketo features a powerful email  marketing module but with drag-and-drop simplicity, making it an excellent inbound marketing platform. Likewise, it helps you promote social sharing and customer engagement with real-time personalization tools. Among its key features are loyalty marketing, event marketing and budget calendar.

It'll help your email newsletters look great, with hundreds of included templates and stock photos. And, it offers three mobile apps: one to keep track of your stats, another to add subscribers on the go, and a Curate app to build and send email newsletters from curated content.

In actually, you can program it to respond when certain situations occur; such as when a client places an order the program will send a message to whatever fulfillment house you are using to complete the order. Or when a customer leaves prematurely, Office Autopilot will send them a special last minute offer. Basically all you do is select the trigger that sets in motion the action you want, when you want it, and what list it should use. Plans start at a little more than two-hundred a month.

From a business perspective, emails are widely used as a cost-effective as well as efficient way of acquiring new customers, boosting sales, building up your brand awareness and fostering a sense of trust among your customers. Email marketing has also shown a better ROI compared to other marketing channels. According to a survey conducted by Direct Marketing Association and Demand Metric, email had an ROI of nearly 122%, whereas other channels such as social media had just 28%.
